Updating the firmware #
- Download the latest firmware on your laptop from your Download Page. Make sure you choose the right firmware version, based on your device’s batch number (the batch number is printed on the back of your device)
- Turn ON your MAPTATTOO and go to MENU / USB.
- Press the Center key to activate the USB mode
- Connect MAPTATTOO to your laptop.
- Copy the firmware update (.swu file) on your MAPTATTOO drive.
- Eject or Safely disconnect MAPTATTOO.
- Turn OFF your device.
- Wait a few seconds and RESTART your MAPTATTOO.
- Your MAPTATTOO should start updating the firmware.
- Wait a couple of minutes.
- Once updated, this message should pop-up.
- You can now RESTART your device.
Error message #
- If something went wrong during the update, this message should appear.
- In this case, simply RESTART your MAPTATTOO, the update will start again.
- Multiple failures during update could be the sign of a corrupted update file.
- In this case, the update file is automatically deleted.
- Turn OFF your MAPTATTOO and restart from Step 1.
- In case of a persistent problem, please contact the support.
